GUILSFIELD

Danny Barton has reluctantly stepped down as Player-Manager of Guilsfield due to increasing work commitments.

A spokesman for Guilsfield said "Guilsfield are very sorry that Danny has come to this decision but fully understand his reasons. Nathan Leonard, assistant to Danny for the last two season, has been appointed as Player-Manager for the 2017-18 season.

Club stalwart Bernie Jones will assist Nathan, with Danny still being involved with the club in a playing capacity.

The club wishes to thank Danny for all his hard work and commitment as Player-Manager for the last two years, and are pleased that he will still be involved with Guilsfield FC.
Danny steered the club to the quarter final of this season's Welsh Cup and maintained the club's position in the top half of the league. Guilsfield FC will always be grateful to Danny for his professionalism in developing the current squad."

Nathan inherits a strong squad and is raring to go in preparation for the pre-season. All at Guilsfield wish Lenny the very best for the future.
