HOLYWELL TOWN

Holywell Ton have a new stand in place for next season, the stand moves them a step nearer the FAW tier two ground certificate required for the 2018/9 season

A spokes man for Holywell told the HGA web site

"Holywell Town have completed the installation of a 250 all seater stand behind the Town End goal. The project, which has taken 2 years to complete, see’s the Wellmen pass another part of the Tier 2 Ground Criteria which will come into play next season (2018/9).

The Wellmen received funding from the FAW’s Welsh Ground Improvement (WGI) grant last season for the concrete base for the stand, and 12 months later, a further grant helped part fund the purchase and installation of the stand ahead of the new season. The new stand is another completed project which sees a massive improvement to Town’s Halkyn Road Ground, and the new stand will improve the facilities to make a match day visit to Halkyn Road even better for the season ahead.
The club would like to thank the FAW for their help and assistance with this project, along with everyone else who have helped us over the past couple of years in the purchase and installation of the stand”.
