Dan Moore – Assistant Manager & Coach Continuing with Buckley Town's vision for football in community, Dan is a Buckley lad who played for Buckley Town Juniors from the age of six, and for Buckley Town FC until he was nineteen, and finally with them again when he graduated from Aberystwyth University. Dan is currently completing his UEFA B Licence and is also the U14's coach at Cefn Druids Academy. He has played Cymru Alliance football for BTFC, Mold Alex, and Penycae.Whilst at Aberystwyth University he was chairman of the university team and also played in the Mid Wales League and in the university structure Dan first started coaching at the age of 15 with BTJFC U8s and Airbus Academy, also has worked with Aberystwyth Town Football in the Community.Being extremely passionate about football and Buckley Town FC, in addition with his knowledge of local players, Dan will a have great influence in shaping the future of Buckley Town FC much like his father who was also a manager at BTFC.
Adam McGee - Goal Keeper: is a very experienced goalkeeper who dominates his 6 yard box, is fantastic organiser, very vocal and has great hands and joined Buckley Town at the beginning of October. He has played for Cefn Druids winning the league title with them twice. Also in the Cymru Alliance he played for Gap Connah’s Quay. In the Welsh Premier league he played for Airbus where he made approximately 50 appearances.
Cory Leggett – Full Back : Cory played last season for Western Pride FC who are in National Premier League Queensland, Australia. An attacking right sided full back who can also play on the left or right wing with an excellent first touch. In 2015 at his previous club, Brisbane Olympic FC, Cory was voted the players’ player of the season.
Dan Stanton - Defender: In his second season at Buckley Town having represented the club on ten occasions last season. Dan is a fit, strong full back or Central midfielder. His versatility will be important throughout the season. Reads the game well and has an excellent attitude towards the game. The club is delighted he has signed for another season as he has a huge potential.
Dylan Roberts - Left Back : a very promising 18 year old, stepping up playing in the Cymru Alliance for the first time and another local lad. His previous clubs were Argoed United and New Brighton Villas. Dylan has an excellent left foot and has pace to burn. Another exciting addition to the squad and definitely one for the future.
Jamie Evans - Full Back : a product of the TNS academy, previous teams being Buckley Town and Mold Alexandra. Jamie is 6 foot four and has excellent feet for a big man, he can play left or right back, as well as centre half. Strong in the air and covers the ground well. Another promising player for Buckley Town this season.
Joel Haack - Centre Back. Joel, twenty years old and six feet five inches tall is a commanding central defender who can also play left or right back. An Australian, who has played for Western Pride Football Club. One of Joel’s strengths is to keep possession under pressure. He displays astute passing game with good vision and shrewd spatial awareness. Furthermore, he has an excellent ability to win the ball in the air and also has the capacity to travel with the ball to create opportunities for himself and those around him. Joel like Cory arrived in time for pre-season training.
Mike Cronshaw – Striker a player with many attributes and has a fantastic attitude towards the game and has a wealth of experience. Mike has played for Wrexham and Wales at youth level and won the Victory Shield with Wales on Sky Sports. Caps for Wales u17 & u19. Cronny has played for Gap Connah's Quay, Welshpool, Cefn Druids, Holyhead Hotspur and then Denbigh last year who were runners up in the final of the Word Cup.
Shaun Tinsley - Midfielder A Welsh Under 18 International who has also played for Welsh Premier team Gap Connah’s Quay. Shaun can operate in several positions and has a rocket of a left foot, another brilliant addition to the squad for this season and his versatility will be key for us throughout the season. Previous clubs Gap Connah's Quay, Buckley Town, Penycae, Denbigh Town and FC Nomads.
Andrew Watkin – Central midfielder left footed player who started his playing career at Wrexham for six years, then Airbus briefly before playing up in Scotland for 4 years with his University. On returning to North Wales played Cymru Alliance for Penycae and Rhydymwyn and most recently played for League champions FC Nomads.
James Rumsey - Midfielder a very fit, quick, strong box to box Midfield player, which is a great asset for any side and we are over the moon to have him at Buckley Town for the season. He has great experience at such a young age having played for Cefn Druids Academy and Reserves 2011-2013, Cheltenham FC Academy 2013 -2015, Lex FC 2015-2016 and finally Cefn Druids 2015-2016 (where he won the NEWFA Challenge cup with the First Team). His knowledge and understanding of the game at such a young age will rub off on the rest of the team.
Jake Skyner – Centre midfield previously played for Woolton FC and more recently Chester City Youth Team and then onto the Airbus Academy.
Jake has excellent potential and is always looking to improve. He likes to get forward and affect the game when he can and shows excellent vision, with an eye for a pass. He also isn't one to shy out of a tackle. He has bags of energy and enthusiasm and fits in perfectly with our style of play at Buckley. Yet another signing that strengthens our squad.
Asa Hamilton – Centre forward joined us from Porthmadog where he looked good last season, he has also previously played for Pen y Cae and Airbus. He guarantees goals and so is an excellent signing for us, he works hard for the team and brings that bit of quality that is needed from a front man. His work rate is phenomenal and this is something that struck a chord when watching him. We are delighted Asa decided join us, just in time for the start of the season.
Aron Williams – Wing back, in his second season with Buckley after joining in February 2016. He started playing junior football for Flint, then at the age of sixteen moved to Gap Connah’s Quay where at the same time had trails with Everton. During his five years at Nomads he played in the Welsh Premier U19’s league where in his first year he was a part of the team that won the league which resulted in him finally progressing to the first team squad. In 2014/15 season Aron made his Welsh Premier début and also played in a couple of cup games finally going on loan to Penycae. Aron adds great pace to the squad and is very forward thinking player and loves to get at people. This should add real balance to the squad as the season progresses and will be an excellent impact player.
Zachary Morris - 19 year old right footed player who hails from Australia and can play centre attacking midfield, right wing or right back. Zack has good feet and is also very direct in terms of one on one. At a junior level played internationally in the Danones Cup in South America. For the last two years Zack has played in Australia for Northern Tigers FC
Kyle Scarisbrick – signed Jan 17, full back has played for Sheffield United Acadamy, Cammell Laird and Rhyl,
Coery Scarisbrick – signed Jan 17 midfielder played for Chester FC youth team and was their captain in the same team as our current player Jacob Evans.
Dave Bryan; Defender: Signed Jan 17, an out and out center back, rejoined Buckley for his second spell with the club. Dave likes to win the ball, and have a real tussle with the center forwards. Previous Clubs: Mold, Rhydymwyn and Conwy
Peter Doran, signed Jan 2017, is a no nonsense midfielder who leads by example, being a good footballer who can also see a pass. His enthusiasm and leadership, combined with his experience, will prove to be a big signing for the club.Paul has previously played for Walsall, Altrincham, Connah’s Quay and Cefn Druids
Phil Doran, signed Jan 17 is one of the best left sided players at this level. Phil began his career at Blackpool FC in their youth set-up before joining Caernarfon Town during the summer of 2007. Since then he has played for Connahs Quay, Witton Albion, Rhyl, Conwy, Cefn Drids and Runcorn Town. Phil has a marvellous left foot, a winning mentality and the knack of scoring goals which will prove to be a great asset to the team.
Michael Thompson, signed Jan 17 ,a left footed striker is comfortable both in midfield and on the wing. Not only is he a strong hard-working player but is good at closing teams down from the front. Michael has had considerable experience in Welsh football having played with Cefn Druids, Rhyl, Welshpool Town, Porthmadog, Bala Town, Connah’s Quay and Conwy. He has also played for Waikato in the New Zealand’s ASB premiership.
Phil Molyneux , signed Jan 17, a striker, is well known to the Buckley faithful and has 'been there and done it'. Molly's experience will be massive for us in the final run in this season, especially when we are under the cosh. Phil is a big, strong lad whose powerful presence creates opportunities galore. Watch out for his long throws! Phil, had been the supporters’ player of the year for two seasons out of the last three in when he previously played for Buckley. Bradley Williams, signed Jan 17, is a left footed, left sided midfielder with pace to burn. One of his attributes is getting in behind the opposing defence and delivering quality balls to the forward line. A big strong player with bags of experience having played for Conwy, Widnes, Congleton Town and recently City of Liverpool.
Paul Hart, signed 2017, is a two-footed, goal- scoring centre forward who can terrorise defenders with his great pace and skill. Paul is a hard working player with a great scoring record and will bring heart and passion to the front line. Paul has a wealth of experience having played for Liverpool, Everton, Tranmere, Altrincham and Vauxhall Motors. His most recent club was Denbigh Town.
Alan Edwards - Coach has a lot of experience having played for a number of local clubs and was part of the successful Buckley Town team from 2001–2005 seasons which won the Cymru Alliance and several NEWFA cups. Alan also held the UEFA B Licence coaching badge.
Rhian Williams - Physio joined the Buckley Town FC team, volunteering as a sports masseuse and match day physio. Rhian has always had a strong passion for sport which is why she has always wanted to work in the sporting industry. She studied Sport specifying in performance and excellence at Deeside College, where she won Sport student of the year after achieving three distinctions. From there Rhian moved to Cardiff to study Sport Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage at Cardiff Metropolitan University where she is currently going into her third and final year. Rhian has always had a huge passion for athletics and particularly specialising in the 300m/400m hurdles, where she was unbeaten for 2 years in Wales as an under 17 winning the three major Welsh titles, Welsh Schools, Welsh inter regionals and the Welsh championships in 300m/400m hurdles which then lead to her selection for the Celtic Games, British school international and finally the UK School Games held at the 2012 London Olympic stadium where she ran a personal best and bagged herself a bronze medal.
