Manager - Neil Gibson
Gibbo is a former Wales Under-21 international who made one Football League appearance for Tranmere Rovers in 1988 and also had spells with Sheffield Wednesday, Rhyl, Southport, Halesowen and Leigh RMI before returning to Prestatyn in the 2005/6 campaign. Appointed manager for 2007/8 and took the club to the Cymru Alliance title and promotion to the Welsh Premier. Managed the team that won the Welsh Cup in 2012/13 season and scored the vital equalizer against Liepajas Metalurgs which took the game to penelties in Prestatyns’ Europa League win.
Prestatyn Town Football Club, played their first game on the 20th October. 1910, when they travelled to Rhyl Amateurs; winning 3-2
Until the 2007/8 season and after having played in the various feeder leagues, eventually winning the Cymru Alliance and with it, promotion to the Welsh Premier League.
Promotion was reliant upon their ground at Bastion Gardens being brought up to the required standard. The Club obtained Planning Permission, erected
floodlights, eventually passing the required Welsh Premier criteria and with it promotion to the Premier League for the 2008/9 Season.
In 2013/14 the Club won the Welsh Cup for the first time, beating Bangor City 3-1 after extra timbering time.
The Club qualified for EUFA League play offs winning their first game before being defeated in the second round by Croatian side Rijeka
However the Club failed to defend the Welsh Cup, being defeated the following year, in the early stages.
Following two poor seasons the club was relegated to the Huws Gray Alliance Football League at the end of the 2014/15 season.
