Paul Whitfield (Goalkeeper)
Paul started his career at Wrexham FC where he progressed through the youth system before being offered a full time contract. He made his first team debut in 2002 against Everton playing against none other than Wayne Rooney. Paul has represented his country at every level and during his time at Wrexham was part of the promotion winning side in 2002, he has also won the Welsh Premier Cup, actually twice, in 2002 and again in 2003. After leaving Wrexham Paul gained European experience playing in the UEFA cup and the famous Champions League. After playing in the Welsh Premier League for the likes of Rhyl and TNS, Paul then signed for Cammell Lairds where he helped them win promotion to the Unibond Premier League in 2008. In 2009 Paul moved back to his hometown club, Llandudno and in his first season he helped them retain the League Cup and just missed out on promotion to the Welsh Premier League. Along with playing Paul is the Head Goalkeeping Coach at Rhyl FC’s Academy and has recently worked with the Welsh F.A’s under 19’s Women’s National team. He has over 250 professional League and non League appearances.
Mitchell Keighan Jones (Goalkeeper)
Young goalkeeper who played last season for Airbus UK Broughton. Has been a part of the Wales Under 16 squad.
Grahame Austin (Defender)
Locally based defender who has a wide range of experience at Welsh Premier level at Llangefni Town. Also played for Porthmadog. A central pillar of Town’s defence this season and Club captain
Clive Williams (Defender)
22-year-old Penygroes-based defender who came up through the academy ranks at Bangor City and broke into the first team before being loaned to Porthmadog. Joined Town during 2012/13 and has proved to be an excellent signing both in defence and as a forward.
Chris Williams (Defender)
Joined Porthmadog from Chester City in the summer of 2011. Hails from Llanfairpwll and played a significant part in the Chester promotion winning season in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, made 29 (+6) appearances A member of the Llangefni Cymru Alliance championship winning team of 2009/10. Signed from Porthmadog during the summer of 2013.
Joe Williams (Defender)
Impressive right-back who has signed for the Canaries from promoted Llandudno. St Asaph born defender Joe joined Llandudno from local rivals Conwy Borough in January 2013. Joe has also played for Glan Conwy in the Welsh Alliance League.
Gareth Edwards (Defender)
Gareth signed for Town from Cefn Druids in August 2014 where he was also captain. Tall and imposing central defender who has proved to be an invaluable addition to the defence. Has also played in the Huws Gray Alliance for Buckley Town.
Nathan Craig (Midfield)
Nathan came up through the ranks at Everton and played in the first team before being released in 2011. Has also made several Welsh Under 21 appearances. Signed for Caernarfon in 2012 before again turning professional at Torquay United in 2013. Went on loan to Dorchester Town before returning to Caernarfon to take up the new post of Football in the Community Director and re-signing for the Club. One of the best players in North Wales and an extremely valuable addition to the squad.
Tom Quinn (Midfield)
A product of the Crewe Acadaemy set-up, Tom was released from Crewe this summer and signed for Bala Town. Now on-loan at the Oval and rapidly becoming a fans’ favourite.
Danny Brookwell (Forward)
Locally Danny last played for Menai Bridge but has represented the Royal Navy at under 19 and under 23 level. He has twice represented the Service at the Dallas Cup in Texas and in 2012 was nominated for the Royal Navy's Young Sports Person of the Year award. Signed from Glantraeth in September 2015.
Jamie Breese (Striker)
Signed for Town in the summer of 2015 after finishing as Huws Gray Alliance leading scorer last season whilst playing for Llanidloes Town. Based in Wellshpool, Jamie has already proved himself to be a prolific goalscorer in pre-season. Has also played for Newtwown and Welshpool Town.
Iwan Williams (First Team Manager/Midfield)
Appointed as manager after Lee Dixon’s departure in April 2015. Iwan has played in the Welsh Premier League for Porthmadog and Newtown and also in the Cymru Alliance League for Llanfairpwll, GAP Connahs Quay and Llandudno. Currently working towards the UEFA ‘A’ licence. Based in Llanfairpwll, he was an influential midfielder for Caersws in the Huws Gray Alliance before taking up his role at the Oval.
Cory Williams (Midfield/Forward)
Bangor-born wingman who started his career at Caernarfon Town and spent two seasons as a youth with Hereford United. Moved to Chester FC for a brief time before arriving at Colwyn Bay in July 2015, joining Rhyl six months later. His spell at Belle Vue was brief, returning to the Bay in February 2016. Re-signed for the Canaries in July 2016.
Corrig McGonigle (Striker)
Bob Brodie Trophy winner for top scorer on Ynys Mon last season, Corrig joins the club with an impressive goalscoring record. He scored over 110 goals last season for Pentraeth and has also represented Bangor City Reserves, Llangoed, Coleg Menai and Welsh Colleges Under 19s. Sure to be a valuable addition to the squad.
Sam Ashworth (Midfield)
Promising young midfielder who has signed from Bangor City Reserves.
Joe Vousden (Midfield)
New arrival this season from Llanfairpwll FC. Left-footed midfielder who is always comfortable on the ball.
Kevin Lloyd (Striker)
Kevin rejoins the Club from Llanrug United for his fourth spell. Popular local forward who has starred in the past for Llangefni Town and Bangor City. Looking to add a few more goals to his tally for the Canaries this season.
