Guilsfield

Danny Barton – Player/ Manager. Danny is well known in Mid Wales circles as a prolific striker. He brings a wealth of experience to the squad having played in the Welsh Premiership with Newtown, TNS and Rhyl. Danny continues as Player/ Manager this season and leads the Guilsfield front-line. He was awarded both the League’s Top Scorer and League's Player of the Season in 2013/14. This is his 5th season with the club.

Nathan Leonard – Lenny quietly goes about his work in the middle of the park but is an important member of the club, assisting Danny Barton. Nathan is the son of ex-Shrewsbury Town and Cardiff City defender Carleton Leonard. Lenny rejoined the Guils in the Summer of 2012 from Ellesmere Rangers. Nathan is respected in the squad and his contribution will be important this season.

Bernie Jones – Coach. Bernie is a highly respected coach. He played for both Welshpool and Caersws in the League Of Wales as a disciplined defender. Bernie is very well regarded in Mid Wales football circles. Bernie is a fitness fanatic who relishes the Snowdon Run challenge each summer!

Dave Littleford – Dependable Dave is a fine shot stopper who is a steady performer between the posts for Guilsfield. He has represented England youth sides in his schoolboy days. Dave is one of our longest serving players and is one of the most consistent keepers in the the league.

Lee Andrew – Lee signed from Llanfiar Utd during last season and has provided stiff competition for the Number 1 position. Lee comes off his line well and is a good distributor from the back.

James Henderson –Hendo is a typical Central Defender, but with bags of pace who enjoys playing the ball out from the back. This is loyal and consistent James’ 9th season with the Guils. A respected member of the squad and a good team man. Hendo was the Supporters' Player of the Year last season.

Robbie James – Rob returns to Guilsfield after securing promotion with Cefn Druids last season. This is Rob's second spell with the Guils but played only a handful of games in his first stint after a season ending injury. A composed and secure defender, Rob is a great signing for the club.

Jack Richards – Jack gained his first taste of senior football last year after leaving the Shrewsbury Town youth setup. A fine left footed defender/midfielder who looks to have a bright future. Jack settled well within the squad and will only get stronger with more experience in this League.

Chris Cathrall – Chris is a consistent, combative and super-fit performer who can operate at wing back or defence This is Chris’ 5th season at the Guils after a spell with Ellesmere Rangers. Cats possesses a lethal long throw and has also scored some important goals during his time with the club.

Callum Bromley – Callum returned to the Guils in February 2013 after a couple of seasons with Shawbury Utd. Callum performed consistently last season and is a dependable defender with over 20 appearances last year.

Gareth Jones – A village lad who is an all-action midfielder with a great engine. Gareth has captained Wales Schoolboys at U-18 level and was in the Wales U-16 side that finished Runners Up in the Victory Shield. His former clubs include Welshpool Town and UWIC. Gareth loves to make deep runs into the box. Gareth was the Supporters Player of the Year last season.

Andy Ford – Andy can play at the centre of the defence or in midfield, so again his flexibility will be useful during the season. A very committed, consistent and combative performer who gives a great deal of bite to the midfield. Fordy is in his 5th season with Guilsfield.

Mark Davies – Village lad Mark has played for Guilsfield through the junior ranks to the first team. A left footed player who became the first member of the TNS academy side to sign professional forms during the summer of 2006. Mark rejoined his home village in November 2009 after a spell coaching in the USA. Previously, Mark made 44 Welsh Premier appearances in total for TNS, Caersws and Newtown. Mark runs his own fitness company.

Aaron Edwards – Signed from Penycae in 2015. Aaron has always impressed against Guilsfield in the past so he is a very good addition to our squad. A versatile and strong performer at this level who gives us extra options in attack.

Adam Jenkins – Adam is a nimble forward with good feet. He spent a couple of seasons with Caersws before having a stint of coaching in America. Adam will be looking to continue scoring the goals in his second season at Guilsfield.

Sam Litchfield – Sam had an impressive debut season after stepping up to this level from Shropshire football. Previously with St. Martins, Sam can operate effectively in the centre of defence or in midfield.

Stuart Rogers – New signing. Stuart comes from Porthmadog FC and has also played for Penrhyncoch, Tywyn/Bryncrug and Bartmouth & Dyffryn. Stuart is a neat and composed midfielder with good passing ability. He also enjoys getting forward to support the front line.

Joe Walker – Young Keeper who impressed in his first senior season, gaining first team experience.Joe is a first year student at Nottingham University.

Louis Irvine – A new signing from Ellesmere Rangers. Louis impresses during pre-season and scored a wonder goal versus TNS in the final friendly before the beginning of the league campaign.
